Bridlewood Blend 175
We spent a lot of time in the barrel room to get this blend just right before bottling. We tasted the different vineyard lots 175 times before we blended them together to create a well-balanced wine that embodies the vast Central Coast appellation. The final blend is comprised of predominantly Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel.
Winemaker Notes:
The grapes were picked mainly at night to keep the fruit cool, maintaining the delicate flavor characteristics. The grapes were then destemmed, but not crushed, leaving a large portion of whole berries in the fermentor. The must was fermented at a maximum of 88°F in order to emphasize the dark, jammy fruit flavors in the finished wine. The wine was racked frequently, allowing the rich fruit flavors to open fully.
Tasting Notes:
Our Blend 175 is a well-balanced expression of the Central Coast region. This full-bodied blend’s dark, jammy fruit flavors and rich, soft tannins are framed nicely by notes of sweet oak and end with a graceful, lingering finish.
