Domaine du Prieure Haute Cotes du Beaune

At the entrance of the sleepy village of Savigny les Beaune resides this lovely estate. A family affair, Jean-Michel, Yvonne, and their son, Stephen carefully guide nature from parcel-to-cellar and capture the essence in bottles.

Domaine du Prieure wines express each individual parcel and are approachable young, yet age beautifully.

In their careful hands they are excellent stewards of these beautifully persistent Pinot Noir, racy Chardonnay and a tiny bit of exotic Aligote.

The 2010 Savigny-les-Beaune Hauts Jarrons displays an amazingly delicate yet diverse aromatic display of meat stock, kirsch, green tea and jasmine, coming onto the palate with corresponding refinement and subtlety, loaded with inner-mouth florality and fundamental meatiness, hinting at chalky minerality, and finishing with convincing complexity and length.
