Bonterra Zinfandel

Zinfandel is inextricably tied to Mendocino and stands as a tribute to the rugged Italians who settled this county and the remarkably rustic wines they created. Our Zinfandel is a little more elegant and balanced than those wines, but undeniably Mendocino. We try not to manipulate the wine too much, mainly because the fruit from our exceptional organic vineyards doesn’t require it. We do add a little Petite Sirah for added complexity.
The 2010 Zinfandel has aromas of blueberry, black stone fruit and black pepper. Polished tannins and flavors of berries, vanilla, black pepper and toasty oak lead to an elegant, balanced, and a rich, long finish.
